Back soon!

I'm currently taking a sabbatical until January 2023 and won't be responding to messages while I'm away.

If you're interesting in working with me in the new year, please drop me an email and I'll get back to you when I return.

Cheers,
Mike

Direction For Bedfordshire

Digital / Identity

Project Details

Direction for Bedfordshire is a service offering support and guidance for those with criminal convictions as well as their friends and families. I worked in partnership with Bedfordshire Police to produce a brand identity that sat alongside their existing service for victims, Signpost for Bedfordshire. The initial brief was to produce something that had an urban feel but also positive, progressive connotations.

Digital

Once the brand was finalised we were able to progress digital side of things. The website needed to be engaging and exciting but ease of use was the primary concern. This was handled by placing all the key of information front and centre, with clear direction to the key areas while the use of subtle animations and a striking, high-contrast colour scheme provided the visual interest. The first step of the process was to design detailed wireframes that mapped out the layout for the pages of the site and how the elements worked together. From here the wireframes were developed and then taken through a rigorous user testing process which included workshops in prisons around the county.
